Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 14 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases from Deudare at deudare.com and to use of our website. Please read them before ordering and keep a copy for your records.
1. About Deudare
Deudare is operated by SCX LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 13978209. Our registered office is 5 Ducketts Wharf, South Street, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, CM23 3AR.
In these Terms, “Deudare”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SCX LTD trading as Deudare. Contact customer care at thehouse@deudare.com.
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Your contract for products bought from this store is with SCX LTD trading as Deudare.
2. Ordering from Deudare
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order. Our online store is intended for personal, non-commercial purchases. We currently deliver within the United Kingdom.
Please provide accurate order, payment and delivery details. We require a telephone number so that we or our delivery partners can contact you about delivery or an issue with your order. Providing it for this purpose does not sign you up to marketing calls or messages.
3. Orders and acceptance
Placing an order is an offer to buy the products shown in your order. An order acknowledgement confirms that we have received it; it does not by itself mean that we have accepted it. Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed, when it is dispatched.
If we cannot accept your order, for example because an item is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised or we reasonably suspect fraud, we will tell you promptly and refund any payment taken. If we identify a material price or description error before acceptance, we will contact you so you can decide whether to proceed on the corrected terms or cancel for a refund.
Taking payment for a pre-order does not remove your cancellation rights. The cancellation arrangements for orders delivered in separate parts are explained below.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include applicable taxes. UK standard delivery is complimentary. The total amount payable is shown before you complete checkout. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.
Payment for Volume I pre-orders is taken at checkout. Price changes on our website do not change the price of an order we have already accepted.
5. Pre-orders, shipping and delivery
- Available Atelier pieces: usually dispatched within 1–2 working days.
- Volume I pre-orders: expected dispatch 5–11 October 2026. The usual processing time for available stock does not apply to these pre-orders.
- Mixed orders: available Atelier pieces and Volume I pre-orders are sent separately, following the timings above. The second parcel is free.
- UK standard delivery: complimentary on all orders, with no minimum spend.
- Delivery time: usually 1–3 working days from dispatch. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
We will send a dispatch confirmation when your parcel leaves us. The pre-order window is an expected dispatch date, rather than an arrival date. If it changes or we become aware of a significant delay, we will contact you with an update. You may cancel an undispatched pre-order for a refund. These estimates do not remove your legal rights if delivery is late or does not take place.
When using a delivery service arranged by us, the goods remain our responsibility until you, or a person you have nominated to receive them, takes physical possession. Contact us if your parcel is missing, damaged or incorrect so that we can resolve it.
Further delivery and return details are on our Shipping & Returns page.
6. Changing your mind and cancelling
You may cancel an eligible online purchase without giving a reason. Tell us within 14 days after the day you, or someone you nominate to receive the goods, takes delivery. If goods from one order arrive in separate parts, this period runs from the day after the final delivery. You may also cancel a pre-order before dispatch.
To cancel, email thehouse@deudare.com or send a clear cancellation statement to our registered office. Please include your name and order number if available. You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to. Sending your cancellation notice before the deadline is sufficient; you do not need to wait for our approval to give notice.
After notifying us, send the goods back within a further 14 days. Contact customer care for the appropriate return address. Our registered office can receive written notices; please ask for the return address before posting goods.
For a change-of-mind return, you pay the return postage. Please return the components supplied as part of the product you are cancelling, including its book and art print where these form part of that product.
You may inspect an item and try on garments as you would in a shop. Please handle them carefully and retain tags and packaging where possible. We may reduce a change-of-mind refund to reflect a loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the item's nature, characteristics and functioning.
The change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods supplied sealed which are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons, once that seal has been broken after delivery. This exception applies only where the goods and seal qualify. It does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, damaged or misdescribed.
7. Refunds
For an eligible cancellation, we will refund you without undue delay. Where goods have been sent, the refund will be made no later than 14 days after we receive them back or you provide evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier. If you cancel before dispatch, we will refund you no later than 14 days after you tell us.
If you cancel your whole order, we will also refund the standard outbound delivery charge you paid. Any extra amount paid for a delivery service more expensive than our standard service is not refundable for a change-of-mind cancellation.
Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, and we do not charge a refund fee. Any permitted deduction for excessive handling will be explained.
8. Faults, warranties and sale items
We are legally responsible for supplying goods that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for purpose. If an item is faulty, damaged or misdescribed, contact thehouse@deudare.com with your order details and a description of the issue. Photographs can help us assess a problem where appropriate.
We will provide the refund, repair or replacement to which you are entitled under UK consumer law and cover reasonable return postage for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods. Please tell us promptly after discovering a problem so we can help. These rights are separate from the time limit for a change-of-mind cancellation.
Any commercial warranty stated on a product page is an additional commitment on its advertised terms. It does not replace or shorten your statutory rights, which may continue after the warranty ends. Sale items carry the same statutory consumer rights as full-price items.
9. Product information and care
We take care to describe products, their contents and specifications accurately. Screen settings and photography can affect how colours appear. Measurements are approximate where stated. These points do not remove our responsibility to supply goods that match their description.
Refer to each product's individual size, material, care and use information. Contact customer care if you need help choosing a size or understanding a specification. Follow the care and safety instructions supplied with your purchase.
10. Privacy and Shopify
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used and shared, and how you can exercise your rights.
Shopify hosts our store and processes personal information to provide and improve its services. Information is shared with Shopify and service providers, including in other countries. We also use Shopify enhanced features that draw on interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify. Shopify is responsible for its processing for these enhanced features. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal for further information and rights requests.
Where consent is required, we ask for it separately. Accepting these Terms or browsing our website does not by itself give consent to marketing or non-essential tracking. Our Cookie Policy explains cookie choices.
11. Website use and intellectual property
Our website content, including text, imagery, logos and designs, is owned by or licensed to Deudare. You may browse the site and save or print information for your personal use, including these Terms and your order records. Other use requires permission unless the law allows it.
Do not use the website for fraud, introduce malicious software or try to gain unauthorised access to its systems. If you create an account, keep your sign-in details secure and let us know if you suspect unauthorised use.
12. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious result or if, when the contract was made, both you and we knew it might happen.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or removes your statutory rights concerning goods, delivery, cancellation or refunds.
13. Offers and changes to these Terms
Any conditions attached to a promotion will be made available before you order. We may change or withdraw future offers, but doing so will not remove an offer already applied to an accepted order.
We may update these Terms for future orders. The version in effect when you place your order applies to that order. We will not retrospectively change it without your express agreement.
14. Questions, complaints and governing law
For questions or complaints, email thehouse@deudare.com. Please include your order number, if available, and explain the issue so we can investigate and respond.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not take away mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live in the UK. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of that country.
15. Model cancellation form
Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel your contract. You can instead send any clear statement of cancellation.
